Happy Birthday Kali And Mazi

A Birthday Milestone!

 

Where has the time gone? 10 Years ago Kali and Mazi were born. We picked them out when they were only 13 days old. They have been such a huge part of our lives and they have enriched it so much.

Let's take a look at how they looked at kittens. 10 years ago we had one of the early digital cameras that had a lot of problems so the photo quality is not good. But I think you can still enjoy seeing Kali and Mazi as little kittens.

This was Kali several weeks old. I don't have a date for this photo, but we did not bring them home until 12 weeks old. This was taken at the breeders house, I am guessing between 6 and 8 weeks here. 

Here is Mazi, taken the same day as Kali's photo. You can already see he was going to be a beautiful cat with a big personality.

When Kali was tiny, she loved to climb up and perch on my shoulder.

 

Looking at these photos today reminds me of how tiny they were. Kali is on the left and Mazi is on the right.

 

 The toy looks huge next to them as tiny kittens.

 

 

This was a couple weeks after the previous photo, they are are growing.

 We finally got to bring them  home, still so small at 12 weeks but what bundles of energy.

 

Kali grew to be 10 lbs and Mazi grew to be 12 lbs.

Just Hanging Around

What Have We Been Up To?

Us kitties have been busy doing cat stuff and momma cat has been busy doing people stuff. She is pretty boring so we will just share a few of the kitty things we have been doing.

We live in a desert community so we rarely get snow and are thankful we don't live where everyone has gotten snowed in this year. Although it does get a bit cold, and here you see me (Mazi) all nice and cozy in the kitty bed in front of the window and big ol Simba had to come squish me to get warm.

Simba has been busy being the goofy cat that he is, sitting on daddy cat's shoulders. Mewow he is heavy sitting there.

Kali and Simba still have their little love hate thing going on. Here she is just minding her own business when Simba comes up and pounces on the back of the chair.

Hey this chair is occupied! Get Down! Phhhttt!! Mine! Scram! Phhhtt!

And there she goes, chasing him over the top of the chair and off. I think he should have listened to her.

Get That Mouse

We got a new toy!

This is so exciting, we got a new mousie toy that goes and goes and goes!

All 3 of us are fast cats and we love smacking this little thing around.  (Oh I dream of a real mouse....some day....some day.)

Here is me and Simba at our first encounter with this crazy mouse.

Mazi was busy taking  a nap so Simba and I took the time to figure out what this little strange mouse was all about.

It has very strange feet and makes a weird sound.

The following day, Mazi was surprised to see this mouse for himself.  

He got a puffy tail and was so excited. 

He bopped the little mouse from one end of the kitchen to the other. Of course we joined in too, you don't expect us not to enjoy in the fun. 

Something tells me this little mouse is not good eating, but it is a lot of fun to chase!

    This Halloween a convention of kitty witches is scheduled.

Ack!! I am in it's clutches! I'm caught!

I must think of a witches spell quickly!!

Alicat zam, yo ho ho, shazbot!

Pirate socks! I must not yo ho ho in the middle of a spell!

Phhtt!

I'm outta here!

Mazi has arrived for the witch convention.

I'm here! Where are the other witches??

No one is here yet! This makes me feel very evil now!

Oh phhht! I heard something scary!

What was that noise?

Yoooooo hoooo!

I am here and ready for the convention!

Do I look like an evil witch kitty or a good witch kitty?

What the phhhht was that big crashing sound!!!

They are off now! I got those stupid pirate socks off my feet!

It took a lot of running around and Mazi grabbed one off me that was stuck.

So, are we good witch cats or evil witch cats? You decide.

Happy 4th Of July

Just a quick post here to tell all my friends here in the USA to have a happy and safe 4th of July. 

Keep your pets inside because it is a noisy scary night for pets outside.

And why do they say use safe and sane fireworks. Aren't fireworks a bit insane? 

Very pretty, but they also say don't play with fire.

Who are they and why do they say these things. 

I'm confused now.

Happy Summer

We are enjoying a beautiful beginning to our summer.

A few hot days but nothing too bad so far.

Summer time is camping time, and seeing that we are indoor kitties,

well, we camp indoors!

Do you like our kitty tent?

Mom says no campfire. Phhtt!

Happy Easter To My Furends

I hope you all have a catastic Easter!

Spend some time with  your family and friends.

And if you find  little brown things on the floor, smaller than jelly beans,

Don't eat them, that is not chocololate that the Easter Bunny left.

Announcing Our Huge Blog Rearrangement

Momma Cat Started our Blog on Sunday, May 25, 2008 and has been adding to it ever since.

Sometimes it was hard to learn how the stuff worked on here but bit by bit it got easier. 

But as it got easier, Momma found more and more stuff to put on the Bloggy! 

To say it got a bit cluttered is putting it mildly!

 Yeah mom, it was a mess. There, someone had to say it.

A while back, the blog was changed from bright pink and magenta to the cool greens and it got a lot of nice comments. Lately visitors were saying, rather politely, things like

"Your blog has a lot of stuff on it. It's going to take a while to read through it.

Thank you nice polite friends for not saying it's too cluttered and full of junk!

(We know you were thinking that.)

Today we are happy to say that the blog is now more organized and hopefully easier to read.

Yay! New and improved!

 But wait there's more!

The blog is set to only display one post at a time. There will be the archive on the right side where you can select older posts to read. 

 Oh that will make it easier to read!!

We got a new feature too, under the current post you are reading there will be 3 thumbnails of previous posts stating "You might also like:"  then just click on the thumbnail to read that post.

 I like the new changes! And we have pages now too!

Under the Blog header, you now see tabs for the newly created pages.

Just click on the tabs to navigate to the new pages.

• The Home tab, brings you to the Home page with the current blog post.
• The Blog Awards page has a list of the Blog Awards received with photos and links.
• The Cute Stuff page is where most of the animations were moved.
• The Silly Photos And Videos page is where many photos and videos will be added.
• The Stuff For Kitties and Yourself page is my affiliate page where you can buy some cool stuff.
• Other Fun Cat Sites page is a list of blogs and a few other pages replacing the Blogger Blog Roll.

Wait now, you are forgetting something. What about us kitties?

We are not known for patience you know.

OK, OK, the blog was not updated as often as it should have been this year.

The kitties have been up to a lot of crazy stuff that needs to be shared. Now saying there will be X amount of posts a month seems to be the kiss of death for any blogging plans, so, let's just agree that in the coming months, there will be a huge effort to get some more fun stuff on here.

Also, thank you readers, we have passed the 1000 view mark on our counter!

A Christmas Wardrobe Malfunction

Let me share a story about 3 cats, 

one cold wintery day.

It's time to get ready for Christmas!

It's time for Santa Paws!

 

It's not easy being Santa Paws.

There is just something about the crazy Christmas hat 

that is always wrong.

And this Christmas coat. Really?? Should it fit like this?

Kali, it looks kinda cute on you, but it should really be on a Mancat.

Let me try it on.

Oh brother, just wait, he thinks he will be all that.

Ummmm, What's with this dangle ball in my eye!?!

Hey, is that stone cat laughing at me?

OK, now its in my other eye !?!

Well I got it out of my eye but now the hat 
isn't even on my head!

I'm a Mancat, let me try it on.
I can be a better Santa Paws that Mazi or Kali.
